God's Will For You
Samples of the questions you will face in your life:
- How do you know it's God's will?
- Which career or job should I choose?
- Should I go to college or should I attend a trade school? Which college or trade school?
- Should I purchase a new or used car? Should I fix-up the vehicle I'm driving?
- Who should I marry?
- Which church should I join?
- Should I have this operation or wait upon God's healing?
- Is it okay to attend this activity?
The answers can be found in the Word of God [read it daily], through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and by meditation and prayer to our Father God through Jesus Christ.
Scripture says:
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect" (Romans 12:2 NLT).
"Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you" (Romans 12:2 Message Bible).
"Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]" (Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible).
