“Come to Me”, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and over-burdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Matt 11:28-30
The 1st Sisters of the Soul Conference & Women’s Fall Retreat promises to be a time of refreshing, relief and rest for your weary souls. It’s your time to relax, let someone serve you, be refreshed and renewed by the gentle rain of the Holy Spirit. It will be a time of nourishing body, soul and spirit. He wants you to exchange your overburdened and weary load for His which is light and easy.
Jesus is saying “COME TO ME” and stop laboring so hard; lay down your burdens at my feet, let ME lift them from your soul and cause you to rest. He wants you to come and learn of HIM; unlike some of the people in your life who are harsh, sharp, and hard and pressing - Jesus is gentle and humble in heart. He promises us twice in these verses that we will find REST, RELIEF, REFRESHMENT, RECREATION, and EASE AND BLESSED QUIET for our souls. All we need to do is LEARN OF HIM.
Women are coming from Mississippi, Texas and Kansas, all for the purpose of serving you and to share their Godly wisdom, experiences and knowledge - women just like you.
Jesus is saying “COME TO ME” let your guard down, let the burdens fall, take the makeup off, stop pretending, laugh out loud, cry and scream, leave your suit and heels at home, come unencumbered before His throne and learn of Him.
So if you feel you cannot take one more step, if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired; and if you simply are tired of carrying everyone and everything - COME.
It’s a retreat, come in comfortable clothes; it’s a dress down day because we are not trying to impress each other we are seeking Jesus; bring your Bible, tablets, and any personal items you need for the day. Bring your lawn chairs and wraps, for a time of rest and recreation on the lawn.
The Conference and Registration are FREE. Any ladies or churches that would like to donate food or volunteer time, please call. To register you can call Janice at (601) 214 6140 or 6150; and (601) 262 7411; you can register via email at swinton2@gmail.com or simply show up at the door.
